I started having oboe lessons with Lizzie as an adult learner in March 2021, never having played it before. Lizzie has a very professional approach and has helped me develop my oboe-playing skills, aural skills as well as my overall music knowledge. I have successully completed ABRSM Grades 1-3 and I am now working towards Grade 4. Lizzie's approach to teaching works very well for me, she has a clear plan for our lessons and there is plenty of variety in what we cover within each lesson and from one lesson to the next. Lizzie is happy to for me to suggest activities and practice where I need particular support. Perhaps most importantly, our lessons are interesting and enjoyable, I look forward to them.
Lizzie is a fantastic musician and teacher. During her time at Tone Woodwind Tuition, she quickly became an important part of the team with her excellent ideas in how to inspire new and experienced pupils. Her wide knowledge of music and her intricate knowledge of woodwind instruments helped beginners of all ages and abilities progress as they wished to in the direction they chose. Lizzie worked with each individual helping them to develop technique, musicality, aural skills and overall tone to create a rounded musician. As a performer Lizzie has always been well respected in the music community as hard working, diligent, a team player and overall a fantastic musician in both jazz and classical contexts. I would wholeheartedly recommend Lizzie to anyone looking for a teacher or performer. You will forever be thankful that you found her to guide you on towards your musical aspirations.
The Transport and Tourism Section has benefitted from Elizabeth's aptitude for research as she has carried out surveys on behalf of myself and my colleagues. Elizabeth has been able to grasp a good understanding of current issues in land, infrastructure, transport and tourism to support her activities within our section. In reports, she goes the extra mile to make sure that sources are responsibly sourced and well referenced. She is also highly proficient in Japanese and has adapted well to our multi-cultural working environment. Elizabeth has made a positive contribution to our mission to the UK, and we are proud of her work in this international environment.
